I’ve missed writing. The world moved fast while I was away — content got shorter, attention spans got shorter still — and honestly, I needed that break. But I’m back, and if you’re reading this right now, thank you for sticking around.
Meet Kinsley
The last time I posted here, Kinsley was still on the way. Now she’s one. One! The math still doesn’t sit right in my brain.
This ride has been everything: challenging and incredibly rewarding at the same time. My pregnancy was easy-ish, but delivery was a nightmare and recovery was awful. The first 6 to 8 months were pure sleep deprivation — the kind where you forget what your own voice sounds like.
But watching her grow has been my greatest joy. She’s deeply observant, intensely interested in people, currently hates diaper changes with every fiber of her tiny being, and we’re pretty sure her love language is words of affirmation.
I still pinch myself sometimes. I’m a mom now, and she’s here. How did I get this lucky?
What I’ve Been Wearing

Let’s start with this combination: a white blazer from Zara ($150) paired with a white slip dress from Zara ($60). I try hard not to tailor anything these days — every extra step is one too many when you have a toddler. But sometimes an item earns its keep.
The blazer needed the sleeves and length shortened. The slip dress needed straps adjusted and hem taken up. For reference, I’m 5 feet tall and 110 pounds, so petite framing means a little tailoring now and then is just part of the deal. If you’re not petite, these pieces probably fit straight off the rack.
On the material side: the blazer has a nice weight to it — structured without being stiff — and the slip dress is silky soft with serious movement. Both look better in person than any photo can capture.
